this is getting ridiculous

the new best recipe cookbook has made my life. their blueberry muffins kick the pants off any other blueberry muffin you have ever tasted. except for my mother's.

happy father's day

skewers for lunch today, grilled on our new grill. pork and beef marinated in a sweet and spicy sauce, celery, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, and red onion for hubby. they were....amazing.

my hubby is the best dad i could ever ask for. our son is just so stinking cute and our daughter will be too.

we had an awesome easter. hubby took the cutest pic of me and little buddy with the daffodils...i love it.

i am really starting to show now, and i have felt the baby move a couple times. next week we find out if it's a boy or a girl!

i successfully changed my blog layout to include three columns and i'm pretty darn proud of myself.

i am doing my part to annoy the crap out of people and spread the word about national child abuse prevention month. so if i know you on facebook i will continue to harass you about it.

i decorated some really cute easter eggs.

i made corned beef with boiled cabbage, potatoes and carrots on sunday.
i made old fashioned chicken and dumplings last night.

got a new computer yesterday because our sucks. it's nice, i like it. :)
i was feeling well enough to go to costco with hubby and walk around for ten minutes. we got polish dogs and they were yummy.
hubby went to dinner with a friend and brought food home for me as well as a huuuuuge jamba juice! i was so excited.
little buddy has been throwing fewer tantrums the past two days.
my house is clean.
i remembered how much i love my maternity undies. soooo comfy they're like pjs.
i'm starting to show already. how crazy is that?

little buddy's first christmas! and our first christmas by ourselves, we stayed at home instead of spending the night at hubby's family's house.
seeing my family, especially my grandma who is visiting from san diego on christmas eve
new pjs!
hubby got me fun new scrapbooking stuff and makeup (which i sorely needed)
visiting the in-laws and relaxing
playing trivial pursuit, and i WON! yay!
seeing how happy hubby was to get his new game, which he knew he was getting anyway. he is playing it now. he's been bugging me for a week about it. :)

did i mention my birthday is on tuesday? yep. tuesday. that's in five days.

wednesday:
went to lunch at golden corral with hubby, little buddy, and my in-laws. i had some yummy bbq chicken.
my boss passed out christmas bonuses! $150 before taxes and crap...so $138. i was thrilled.
we went christmas shopping!

yesterday:
i came home from work and hubby had folded and put away all the laundry.
we went to taco bell for dinner
a christmas cards\ and a birthday card in the mail.
the birthday card had a check for $25 in it! woo!
we also got our pictures from seeing santa in the mail. soooo cute. :)

today:
it's friday! hooray! and i get a three-day weekend, no work on monday!
i woke up with little buddy and hubby at 5 am. it was actually kind of nice to get up with hubby before he left for work.
little buddy is 10 months old today. i can't believe how fast he is growing up!

yesterday, december 13

we had christmas early and opened the gift for me and hubby: diamond edition scrabble! so we played scrabble and i actually won! (i hardly ever win!) i got really lucky...right at the end, x on a triple letter, ended up with 50 whopping points for one word.

we went to the sunflower farmers market and spent way too much money, but got really yummy food. we had italian dry salami, brie, and gouda on bruschetta as an appetizer, then thick yummy steaks and sauteed portobello mushrooms for dinner, with martinelli's apple-cranberry sparkling cider to drink. um, yeah, YUM! i even broke out the fine china, placemats, and chargers and we ate by candlelight/christmas light.

my check was $40 more than we thought, which is why we spent so much $$$ at the farmers market.

i downloaded the entire twilight soundtrack plus a bunch of other fun songs (including a whole slew of taylor swift) and put them on my phone. i got a new ringtone, too, of my new favorite song.

in downloading the twilight soundtrack, i discovered a band called paramore that i adore.

i also decided i absolutely have to learn how to play "bella's lullaby" on the piano.

and i downloaded clair de lune which i love. then layed in bed and played it over and over again for about 20 minutes and relaxed.

i had yummy turkey soup today.
the baby woke up and was in a good mood (which is great because he's been so cranky for the last two days.)
i got new christmas socks from my mother in law yesterday and they are soft and warm.
i drank apple beer. yum.
i'm drinking pepsi. yum again.
we have a new tree topper. it's a star that lights up. i think it is pretty.
the baby is taking a nap.
